People! It has been a busy week in the trenches of organizing this thing. But boy do we have some gems to show for it! Home Park Festival now has some “pre-game” activities, sponsored by others:

1. Meet at Energy Coffee (14th/State) at 7am for coffee social and running/jogging insights, prior to leaving at 8am on a 5k Fun Run.
2. Get to Midtown Community Church (1095 State Street, just south of 14th) between 8:30am and 11am for an All-You-Can-Stand Pancake Breakfast.
3. After a 5k run and some syrup sugar shock, meet at 9:30am at Midtown Community Church for the Home Park Clean-Up Effort, where the plan of attack will be unveiled!

Remember: Home Park Festival starts at 4pm in Home Park Park. Do NOT miss what promises to be our best Home Park Festival yet.

Publix at Atlantic Station has joined with us as a sponsor of the Home Park Festival. They are becoming the neighborhood grocer that we have been seeking.

Lots of last minute ideas are coming to fruition for this year’s festival! Home Park Festival will unveil the first ever (at least that we know of) Home Park Pumpkin Patch. We will have around one hundred of the nicest pumpkins you ever did see. They are to serve several purposes: pumpkin painting for the kids (at the festival), pumpkin pie for the chefs (in your kitchen) and pumpkin seeds (for those of you opposed to the powerful sunflower seed lobby).

We have filled out the live music element by adding two more bands – Passer By and From Exile. We have also added a couple more artists to the Artist Market. Only 8 more days-can you stand it!

The Home Park Fest Artist Market is growing. With photography, pencil portaits, paintings and an assortment of other media, the 2006 Artist Market is sure to have something to impress you. And yes, some of the artists have made Home Park their home.

Home Park Fest is coming! Home Park Festival 2006 will be held Saturday, October 21th, 2006 from 4pm to 10pm! The festival will be held again in Home Park Park. Home Park Fest will include an Artist Market, Entertainment for the entire family, and live music from some of Atlanta's greatest local bands.
